The 2-day Scotland’s Mental Health First Aid course will improve your knowledge and understanding of mental health and teaches skills for providing initial help to people experiencing thoughts of suicide or mental health problems such as self-harming, anxiety, depression and psychosis.

Using volunteer film clips, activities and group discussion you will build your confidence and develop the skills to give immediate help to a person in distress by applying the ALGEE framework, until suitable professional help can be found.

Participants receive the Scotland’s Mental Health First Aid attendance certificate on completion.

Course Overview

Participants will receive Scotland’s Mental Health First Aid Manual and supporting handouts.

Other Information

This course takes place over two days, each day is 9.00am to 4.00pm.

Tea and coffee is provided. Delegates are required to provide their own lunch.
